The attachment device of the cord kit is screwed to the end of the liner. The cord goes through the bottom of the socket and is held by a fixing system outside the socket. Cord traction makes the residual limb stretch, so it can be introduced into the socket more easily. This kit is mainly appropriate for transfemoral patients, but can be offered to transtibial patients whose residual limb is too fleshy in its distal part. As action is generated by a manual traction on the cord instead of pressure on the residual limb, this kit is recommended for patients who are not satisfied by a locking kit with pin. |
